Qualifications

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Server Engineer to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure, server administration, networking, security, scalability, and performance.

This is a 100% hands-on technical role requiring deep practical expertise in cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices. The successful candidate will work closely with our IT team to ensure reliable, secure, scalable, and high-performing IT environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Design, implement, configure, and manage Microsoft Azure solutions to meet technical and operational requirements.

• Manage Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, storage, security, monitoring, backup, and related cloud services.

• Ensure the scalability, availability, security, and performance of cloud and server infrastructure.

• Manage server instances, storage buckets, and containerized applications using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Apply DevOps best practices to improve deployment, automation, infrastructure management, and operational efficiency.

• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for consistent and automated infrastructure provisioning.

• Optimize Azure resources for performance, cost efficiency, reliability, and security.

• Monitor the health, availability, and reliability of Azure resources and take proactive measures to prevent service disruptions.

• Continuously monitor network and server performance using advanced network management, monitoring, and server administration tools.

• Troubleshoot infrastructure, server, network, connectivity, and performance issues and provide timely resolutions.

• Maintain and manage Windows/Linux servers and associated infrastructure components as required.

• Implement appropriate security controls, access management, patching, backup, and disaster recovery practices.

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including:

• Infrastructure and network diagrams

• Server configurations

• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

• System architecture documentation

• Incident and troubleshooting reports

• Configuration and operational records

• Participate in incident management, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate effectively with development, IT, security, and other technical teams.

• Support advanced data processing and infrastructure workflows where required.

• Identify opportunities for automation and continuously improve infrastructure reliability and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Technical Expertise

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud, server, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering.

• Strong practical experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure infrastructure services.

• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure architecture, networking, servers, and security.

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure Code (IaC) and infrastructure automation.

• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, automation, monitoring, and deployment practices.

• Experience with network administration, troubleshooting, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, routing, and related technologies.

• Experience with server administration and performance monitoring.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability concepts.

• Familiar with DevSecOps practices like Seccomp and Trivy

• Working experience managing multi cloud clusters with minimum of 10 nodes

• Ability to analyze system performance and proactively identify infrastructure issues.

• Strong documentation and technical reporting skills.

• Ability to work independently in a highly hands-on environment and collaborate effectively with technical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, or equivalent.

• Experience with tools and technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Azure CLI, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring platforms.

• Experience managing hybrid cloud or enterprise infrastructure environments.

• Knowledge of advanced data processing and automation workflows.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities

• Valid UAE Emirates ID preferred

• Own visa is preferred but not mandatory

• Strong communication, documentation, teamwork, and stakeholder-management skills.

• Must be comfortable working in a 100% hands-on technical engineering role.

• Fluent in both Arabic and English.
