Job summary
Egis is seeking a Meteorology Specialist with 7+ years of experience to lead climate data assessment for nuclear safety and site design inputs in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will acquire, quality-check and analyze meteorological data from NCM and other sources, developing statistics and extreme-condition parameters for design basis and environmental assessments.
Collaborating with regulatory and multidisciplinary teams, you will translate climate projections into actionable inputs for long-term safety
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Climate Science, Meteorology, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Experience with UAE datasets and regional meteorological data.
- Proficiency with GIS and climate data analysis tools.
- Experience supporting regulatory, licensing, environmental-impact, or nuclear-safety documentation.
Responsibilities
- Meteorological data acquisition, compilation, QA & database development.
- Baseline climate characterization and statistical analysis.
- Extreme temperature, rainfall, wind & meteorological hazard assessment.
- Climate change projections, scenario development & impact assessment.
- Design-basis inputs for environmental performance & long-term safety.
- Climate adaptation, multidisciplinary integration, workshops & reporting.
