Job summary

Egis seeks a Meteorology Specialist with 7+ years of experience to characterize current and future climatic conditions relevant to a radioactive waste management program in the UAE. You will obtain, quality-check, and analyze meteorological data from UAE sources and international datasets to support safety assessments.

Responsibilities include developing climate statistics, evaluating extreme events, and assessing changes under future scenarios, with collaboration across engineering,

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in Climate Science, Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Climatology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with regional or national meteorological datasets and authorities, particularly UAE datasets.
  • Experience with GIS, climate datasets, statistical analysis packages, and climate-model outputs.
  • Familiarity with climate scenarios and international climate assessment methodologies.
  • Experience supporting regulatory, licensing, environmental-impact, or nuclear-safety documentation.
