Job summary

Standard Chartered invites applications for a senior risk and governance lead in the UAE. You will manage the Enablement team, oversee KCSA/CST processes, audits and regulatory engagements, and coordinate with senior stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, Finance and Technology.

You will embed best practices in risk management, governance, and reporting, while ensuring timely escalations and adherence to SLAs and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk and regulatory governance is essential.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across units.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the country Enablement team and ensure KCSA / CST processes and SLAs are met.
• Escalate significant risk issues to governance and senior management.
• Embed risk management, governance and reporting best practices.
• Handle regulatory and audit requests for Client Management areas.
• Maintain relationships with Business Units, Finance, Risk, Technology and Operations.
• Oversee audits, regulatory inquiries and ensure timely, high-quality outputs.
• Lead second line reviews with Financial Crime Compliance Assurance when required.
• Ensure DOIs and operating guidelines are up-to-date and in line with standards.
• Ensure SLAs are documented and SRMs are conducted.
