Job summary

Samcom Electronics LLC in Dubai is seeking a Customs Clearance Specialist to prepare, verify, and submit clearance documentation and coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders and UAE authorities for timely shipments. You will track ETAs, resolve documentation issues, maintain accurate customs records, and ensure compliance with UAE import/export rules.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of UAE experience, strong attention to detail, proficiency with ERP systems, and fluent English

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of UAE experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, or a similar logistics role.
• Strong knowledge of UAE customs procedures and import/export documentation.
• Good understanding of shipping and clearance processes.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and follow-up skills.
• Experience using ERP systems and/or customs clearance platforms.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, verify, and submit customs clearance documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and required permits.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and UAE customs authorities to facilitate smooth shipment clearance.
• Follow up on shipments and resolve documentation discrepancies or customs queries promptly.
• Track shipment ETAs and coordinate clearance activities to minimize delays, demurrage, and storage charges.
• Coordinate with the Warehouse team regarding the timing and receipt of cleared shipments.
• Maintain accurate customs and clearance records.
• Ensure compliance with UAE customs and import/export requirements.
• Monitor and report clearance status, delays, and potential issues to the Logistics Manager.
• Support the Logistics team with other customs and clearance-related activities as required.
