Job summary

Samcom Electronics LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Customs Clearance Specialist to prepare and submit clearance documents, coordinating with brokers and authorities to ensure smooth shipment clearance. You will track ETAs, resolve discrepancies, and maintain records for UAE imports/exports.

The role requires UAE experience, knowledge of customs procedures, and strong attention to detail with good communication skills in English. Arabic is a plus; on-site work with the Logistics team in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years UAE experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, or similar logistics role.
• Strong knowledge of UAE customs procedures and import/export documentation.
• Good understanding of shipping and clearance processes.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and follow-up skills.
• Experience using ERP systems and/or customs clearance platforms.
• Fluent English; Arabic an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, verify, and submit customs clearance documents (invoices, packing lists, origin certificates, permits).
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and UAE authorities to enable clearance.
• Follow up shipments and resolve discrepancies or queries promptly.
• Track ETAs and coordinate clearance activities to minimize delays and charges.
• Coordinate with the Warehouse on timing and receipt of cleared shipments.
• Maintain accurate customs clearance records.
• Ensure compliance with UAE import/export requirements.
• Monitor clearance status and report issues to Logistics Manager.
• Support Logistics with other customs activities as required.

• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and UAE customs authorities to facilitate smooth shipment clearance.
• Follow up on shipments and resolve documentation discrepancies or customs queries promptly.
• Track shipment ETAs and coordinate clearance activities to minimize delays, demurrage, and storage charges.
• Coordinate with the Warehouse team regarding the timing and receipt of cleared shipments.
• Maintain accurate customs and clearance records.
• Ensure compliance with UAE customs and import/export requirements.
• Monitor and report clearance status, delays, and potential issues to the Logistics Manager.
• Support the Logistics team with other customs and clearance-related activities as required.
