We are seeking a reliable and experienced Site Engineer/Supervisor who is responsible for managing day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and according to design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. This role serves as a key liaison between engineers, contractors, workers, and project managers.
Responsibilities
- Site Supervision: Oversee and manage on-site construction activities to ensure work is completed as per approved plans and schedule.
- Site Supervision: Coordinate with subcontractors, laborers, and vendors for efficient site execution.
- Site Supervision: Monitor workforce productivity and provide guidance as needed.
- Technical Oversight: Interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
- Technical Oversight: Ensure construction work meets engineering standards, safety regulations, and building codes.
- Technical Oversight: Assist in resolving any on-site technical issues or discrepancies.
- Quality & Safety: Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) standards.
- Quality & Safety: Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control and minimize rework.
- Quality & Safety: Report safety violations or hazards to the appropriate personnel immediately.
- Planning & Coordination: Support the project manager in planning material delivery, manpower deployment, and resource allocation.
- Planning & Coordination: Maintain daily work logs, site reports, and photo documentation.
- Planning & Coordination: Attend coordination meetings with project stakeholders and update on progress/issues.
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report project progress against the schedule.
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Identify delays or risks and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications / Skills
- Proficiency in interpreting drawings, site layouts, and technical documents.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site safety practices.
- Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, MS Project, or site management software.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
