Job summary

Sembol Construction is urgently seeking a Civil Site Engineer for a building construction project in the Ghuwaifat Border area of Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of UAE experience in civil building construction, with proven site supervision and QA/QC capabilities.

Responsibilities include supervising daily site operations, reviewing drawings, coordinating with project managers and subcontractors, and ensuring safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and UAE Civil construction experience.
• Minimum 3 years of UAE site experience in civil building construction.
• Ability to read drawings and technical documents with QA/QC focus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site operations including civil, structural, and architectural works.
• Monitor progress and ensure adherence to drawings, specs, and schedules.
• Plan and track activities using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with PMs, consultants, and subcontractors for smooth execution.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures and site safety are followed.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment and costs.
• Assist with quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and progress reporting.
• Identify issues and report progress and challenges to management.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily site operations, including civil, structural, and architectural finishing works.
• Monitor project progress and ensure all construction activities are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Plan, schedule, and track project activities using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and site modifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and other site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure proper coordination between structural, architectural, and other construction activities to minimize rework and delays.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and site resources to maintain productivity and control costs.
• Assist with quantity take-offs, cost estimation, progress reports, and project documentation.
• Implement quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures and ensure construction work meets the required standards.
• Enforce site safety procedures and ensure compliance with applicable UAE regulations and project requirements.
• Identify site issues, resolve technical problems, and report progress and challenges to project management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant UAE experience in civil building construction.
• Strong knowledge of site supervision, structural works, and architectural finishing.
• Experience in project engineering, site management, and construction coordination.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Good understanding of QA/QC procedures, site safety, and construction standards.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem‑solving, and reporting skills.
• Arabic‑speaking candidates are preferred.
• Ability to work at the Ghuwaifat Sila Border project site in Abu Dhabi.
