Job summary

Duruper is seeking an experienced Civil Inspector with 10+ years of QA/QC in civil construction and pipeline projects in the UAE. The role covers inspection of concrete buildings, pipe racks, trenching, backfilling, berm construction, and ROW development.

The candidate will verify drawings and specifications, review ITPs, and coordinate with laboratory and site teams to ensure quality and compliance. A valid UAE driving license is required.

Qualifications

• 3-year Diploma or 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years industrial QA/QC experience in civil discipline.
• Strong experience in civil construction inspection, concrete buildings, structures, and pipe racks.
• Pipeline projects: trenching, backfilling, berm construction, ROW activities.
• Knowledge of civil drawings, specifications, inspection procedures, and quality documentation.
• Experience reviewing ITPs, method statements, inspection checklists, and test reports.
• Ability to identify defects, manage non-conformities, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Good communication, reporting, coordination, and documentation skills.
• Valid UAE/GCC driving license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect civil construction activities for compliance with drawings, specs, and standards.
• Inspect concrete works: foundations, buildings, structural elements, pipe racks.
• Monitor concrete pouring, reinforcement placement, formwork, embedded items.
• Inspect pipeline works: trenching, trench prep, backfilling, ROW development.
• Verify materials, workmanship, dimensions, levels, and alignment.
• Review ITPs, method statements, checklists, and quality docs.
• Coordinate concrete testing, material inspections with lab and site teams.
• Identify defects and coordinate corrective actions with construction team.
• Maintain inspection reports and quality documentation for client review.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, civil engineers, contractors, and client reps to resolve issues.
• Ensure all civil activities comply with procedures and HSE standards.

The candidate will be responsible for inspecting civil works, including concrete buildings, structures, pipe racks, and pipeline-related activities such as trenching, backfilling, berm construction, and Right of Way (ROW) works. The role requires ensuring compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and construction procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of civil construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable quality standards.
• Inspect concrete works, including foundations, buildings, structural elements, and pipe racks.
• Monitor concrete pouring, reinforcement placement, formwork, embedded items, and related activities.
• Inspect pipeline civil works, including trench excavation, trench preparation, backfilling, berm construction, and ROW development.
• Verify construction materials, workmanship, dimensions, levels, and alignment against approved specifications.
• Review method statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and relevant quality documentation.
• Coordinate concrete testing, material inspections, and other required quality tests with laboratory and site teams.
• Identify construction defects, deviations, and non-conformities; coordinate corrective actions with the construction team.
• Maintain inspection reports, site records, checklists, and quality documentation for client review and project records.
• Coordinate with QA/QC personnel, civil engineers, contractors, and client representatives to resolve inspection-related issues.
• Ensure all civil activities comply with approved procedures, project quality requirements, and applicable HSE standards.

Mandatory Requirements
