Job summary

Parsons in Abu Dhabi, UAE is seeking a skilled Civil Inspector to join our Construction Supervision team on major infrastructure projects including stormwater works, pump stations and utilities. You will inspect, coordinate testing, and maintain detailed site records to ensure conformance with drawings, specs, quality standards and HSE requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure construction supervision, preferably in Roads and utility projects.
• Strong ability to interpret and enforce engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Excellent inspection, reporting and documentation skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills within a site-based construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all construction works are performed in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.
• Inspect civil construction works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, plans, specifications and workmanship standards.
• Coordinate daily with the contractor’s foreman and report non-conformances, questionable methods or deviations to the ARE/RE.
• Process and track Inspection Requests (IRs) and maintain records of approvals, rejections, and follow-ups.
• Coordinate sampling and testing activities with discipline inspectors and laboratories; support QA/QC verification of suspect materials where required.
• Coordinate with surveyors to verify line, level, and grade for ongoing and completed works.
• Maintain detailed daily site diaries/logs including activities, issues, approved/rejected work, manpower and equipment records as directed by the ARE.
• Support quantity measurements and records for Day Works where applicable.
• Interface professionally with stakeholders adjacent to the works to minimize construction impacts where required.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and actively promote safe work practices on site.

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil Inspector to join our Construction Supervision team on a major infrastructure assignment involving stormwater works, pump stations and utilities.
