Job summary

Confidential in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Civil Foreman to supervise and coordinate civil construction works on a project site in Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate has 4-8 years of experience in civil construction and MEP coordination, preferably from contracting backgrounds.

Strong site supervision, ability to manage workers and subcontractors, and ensure work is safe, on time, and per drawings and specs.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of experience in civil construction and MEP coordination.
• Strong site supervision and workers/subcontractors management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities on site (excavation, concrete, blockwork, plastering, tiling, finishing, drainage, and related MEP coordination).
• Allocate tasks to workers, technicians and subcontractors; monitor productivity.
• Ensure work follows drawings, specifications, method statements and quality standards.
• Coordinate with site engineers, MEP teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to avoid delays and rework.
• Monitor material, manpower, tools, and equipment; report shortages in advance.
• Inspect completed work for quality and safety compliance.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe working practices on site.
• Report daily progress, site issues, manpower status, and material requirements to Site/Project Engineer.
• Assist in resolving coordination issues between civil and MEP activities.
• Ensure use of PPE and adherence to HSE policies; support handovers and snag clearance.

The ideal candidate should have 4-8 years of experience in Civil and MEP works, preferably from a contracting company background. The role requires strong site supervision skills, ability to manage workers and subcontractors, and ensure that work is completed safely, on time, and as per approved drawings and specifications

.Key Responsibilitie

• sSupervise day-to-day civil construction activities at site, including excavation, concrete works, blockwork, plastering, tiling, finishing, drainage, and related MEP coordination works
• .Allocate tasks to workers, technicians, and subcontractors and monitor daily productivity
• .Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, and quality standards
• .Coordinate with site engineers, MEP teams, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to avoid delays and rework
• .Monitor material, manpower, tools, and equipment requirements at site and report shortages in advance
• .Inspect completed work and ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements
• .Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure safe working practices are followed by all site personnel
• .Report daily work progress, site issues, manpower status, and material requirements to the Site Engineer or Project Engineer
• .Assist in resolving site coordination issues between civil and MEP activities
• .Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with company HSE policies and project safety procedures
• .Support project handover activities by ensuring pending works and snags are completed as required

.Requirements

• :4-8 years of relevant experience in civil construction and MEP coordination works
• .Previous experience with a contracting company is strongly preferred
• .Good knowledge of civil works, finishing works, basic MEP coordination, site execution, and construction safety practices
• .Ability to read and understand civil drawings, shop drawings, and site layouts
• .Strong manpower supervision and coordination skills
• .Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
• .Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Hindi/Urdu/Arabic is an advantage
• .Experience working on projects in the UAE, especially Abu Dhabi, is preferred

.Qualifications

• :Diploma, ITI, or technical certification in Civil Engineering / Construction or a related field is preferred
• .Candidates with strong practical site experience may also be considered

.Preferred Candidate Profile

• :Background in residential, villa and building construction, projects
• .Hands-on experience managing site teams and coordinating with civil and MEP subcontractors
• .Familiar with Abu Dhabi site safety standards and construction practices
