Job description

We are looking for a qualified and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting and supervising civil construction activities, preparing and checking measurements and quantities, interpreting engineering drawings, and coordinating site activities to ensure work is completed according to project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and interpret civil engineering drawings, structural drawings, and construction details.
• Take and verify site measurements and prepare measurement sheets.
• Calculate quantities of materials and work items based on drawings and site measurements.
• Prepare BOQ, quantity take-offs, material requirements, and estimates.
• Check drawings, dimensions, levels, and specifications before and during execution.
• Monitor and supervise daily civil construction and site activities.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, workers, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
• Ensure construction work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare and maintain daily reports, progress reports, measurement records, and site documentation.
• Assist in preparing quotations, variations, and additional work measurements when required.
• Monitor material usage and coordinate material requirements with the site team.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions and report them to the concerned person.
• Ensure proper quality and timely completion of assigned works.
• Perform other engineering and site-related duties as required.

Skills

• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings.
