Job summary

BANLINE GENERAL TRADING CO. L.L.C in the UAE seeks an experienced Civil Construction Project Manager to lead organization-wide execution, ensuring quality, safety, schedule and cost objectives on major UAE projects.

You will organize civil subcontract works, manage prequalification, tendering, contract administration, and coordinate with Clients, Consultants, Designers and government authorities; proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or higher with Construction Management preferred
• Minimum 8 years civil construction project management experience, incl UAE (3+ years UAE mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction laws, regulations, QA/QC and HSE requirements
• Familiar with subcontractor management, procurement, and contract administration
• Proficient in drawing review, quantity take-off, cost control and claims management
• Excellent leadership, coordination and stakeholder communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software

Job description

• Take full responsibility for the organization execution and overall management of civil construction projects in the UAE ensuring the achievement of project objectives in quality safety schedule and cost
• Organize and manage all civil subcontract works including but not limited to EarthworksFoundation WorksStructural WorksMasonry WorksPlastering WorksWaterproofing WorksStructural Steel WorksArchitectural Finishing WorksExternal Infrastructure and Utility Works
• Be responsible for the evaluation prequalification tendering quotation contract negotiation and contract administration of local subcontractors and suppliers in the UAE
• Prepare construction execution plans and project schedules allocate project resources efficiently and coordinate construction activities among different disciplines and subcontractors
• Manage project quality HSE Health Safety and Environment schedule cost control and risk management while promptly resolving technical and management issues arising on site
• Review quantities manage variation orders site instructions design changes claims and final account settlement
• Maintain effective communication and coordination with Clients Consultants Main Contractors Designers and UAE Government Authorities to ensure smooth project execution
• Manage the entire project lifecycle including project mobilization government approvals construction inspections handover and project close-out
• Ensure full compliance with UAE construction regulations quality standards HSE requirements and all applicable laws and statutory requirements
• Assist the company in establishing and continuously improving project management systems and operational efficiency

Chinese national, aged between 30 and 50 years old, physically fit, and willing to be based in the UAE on a long-term assignment.Diploma or Bachelor's degree (or above) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or other related disciplines.Minimum of 8 years of civil construction project management experience, including at least 3 years of project management experience in the UAE (mandatory requirement).Must have successfully managed at least one complete civil construction project in the UAE and possess comprehensive knowledge of local construction procedures and project management practices.Thorough understanding of UAE construction laws and regulations, construction specifications, quality acceptance standards, and HSE management requirements.Familiar with UAE government approval procedures and experienced in coordinating with Consultants, Clients, and Government Authorities.Good knowledge of local construction materials, construction methodologies, and labor management practices in the UAE.Familiar with subcontractor management, procurement procedures, and contract administration. Candidates with established local subcontractor and supplier networks will be preferred.Proficient in drawing review, quantity take-off, cost control, contract administration, variation management, and claims management.Capable of independently managing the overall project with strong leadership, organizational, coordination, execution, and team management skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and commonly used project management software.Good command of written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with Clients, Consultants, Engineers, Contractors, and Government Authorities in daily work.Holders of PRC Class I or Class II Constructor Certificates and Intermediate or Senior Engineer professional titles will be preferred.Familiarity with FIDIC Contract Conditions and international project management practices will be an advantage.Holders of a valid UAE driving license will be preferred.
