Responsibilities

• Contact factories and suppliers directly to obtain quotations, specifications, samples, production timelines, and minimum order quantities.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, production timelines, and other commercial terms.
• Help verify suppliers and reduce sourcing and procurement risks.
• Coordinate samples, prototypes, production orders, and deliveries.
• Maintain organised records of suppliers, quotations, orders, and ongoing negotiations.
• Work with logistics partners and suppliers to coordinate shipping from China to the UAE when required.

About the Role

Jackpot Technologies is looking for a Chinese & English-speaking Sourcing Agent / Translator based in the UAE to support our procurement, supplier relationships, and communication with manufacturers and business partners in China.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can bridge the gap between our UAE team and Chinese suppliers. You will be responsible for finding and evaluating suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, coordinating orders, and ensuring communication between both sides is clear and accurate.

The ideal candidate is commercially minded, highly organised, comfortable negotiating with suppliers, and understands how business is conducted in both China and the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Procurement

• Identify and source suitable manufacturers, suppliers, products, materials, and services from China.
• Research suppliers through platforms such as Alibaba, 1688, Taobao, WeChat, and other Chinese sourcing channels.
• Contact factories and suppliers directly to obtain quotations, specifications, samples, production timelines, and minimum order quantities.
• Compare suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, production capability, and lead times.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, production timelines, and other commercial terms.
• Help verify suppliers and reduce sourcing and procurement risks.
• Coordinate samples, prototypes, production orders, and deliveries.
• Maintain organised records of suppliers, quotations, orders, and ongoing negotiations.
• Work with logistics partners and suppliers to coordinate shipping from China to the UAE when required.

Translation & Communication

• Act as the primary communication bridge between Jackpot Technologies and Chinese-speaking suppliers and partners.
• Translate written communication between Mandarin Chinese and English.
• Participate in calls and meetings and provide real-time interpretation where required.
• Translate quotations, specifications, contracts, invoices, product information, and other business documents.
• Ensure that commercial requirements and technical details are communicated accurately to suppliers.
• Help the team understand cultural and business differences when negotiating or working with Chinese companies.

Supplier & Project Management

• Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Follow up proactively on quotations, samples, production, shipping, and outstanding issues.
• Track deadlines and ensure suppliers meet agreed timelines.
• Escalate quality, pricing, production, or delivery issues when necessary.
• Visit suppliers, trade shows, factories, or exhibitions in China when required.
• Support UAE-based procurement and operational projects as required.

Requirements

• Fluent or native-level Mandarin Chinese.
• Strong professional English, both written and spoken.
• Currently based in the UAE, preferably Dubai.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable communicating directly with Chinese factories, manufacturers, and suppliers.
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly around quotations, specifications, pricing, and contracts.
• Comfortable using WeChat and Chinese e-commerce/sourcing platforms.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of sourcing projects from initial request through to delivery.
• Willing and able to travel to China when required.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, importing/exporting, or supplier management.
• Existing network of manufacturers, sourcing contacts, freight forwarders, or suppliers in China.
• Experience negotiating directly with Chinese factories.
• Familiarity with Chinese manufacturing hubs such as Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Yiwu, Shanghai, and surrounding regions.
• Experience coordinating international shipping and importing goods into the UAE.
• Knowledge of quality-control and factory-inspection processes is a plus.
