Job summary

MoMo from MTN is seeking an exceptional Head of MIDAS to lead a high‑impact joint venture spanning the Dubai DIFC holding company, the China hub with Alipay engineering, and the Ghana delivery hub. You will oversee the digital wallet platform build, migration programme and ongoing operations for MTN Fintech across regions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 year tertiary degree in Engineering, Technology, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Postgraduate qualification such as an MBA or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years experience across financial services, fintech, payments, telecommunications or platform technology, including at least 5 years at executive committee level.
• Experience leading a joint venture, partnership or multi shareholder entity, including board proceedings, reserved matters and shareholder negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Hold full executive accountability for the joint venture established between MTN Group Fintech and Alipay to build, deploy and operate the digital wallet platform.
• Lead an enterprise distributed across three locations with three distinct mandates: DIFC, China hub and Ghana.
• Strengthen Group Fintech's ability to execute and ensure a single Group relationship.
• Manage shareholder interface with two different commercial models and governance expectations.
