Job summary

Rixos Premium Dubai JBR, part of Ennismore, seeks an experienced Chief Engineer to lead engineering operations at the luxury hotel on The Walk JBR, Dubai. Drive technical excellence, safety, and strategic initiatives across all engineering functions.

You will oversee a skilled team, set standards, manage budgets, and deliver improvements that enhance guest experience and asset longevity in a high-end hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)
• 5+ years in engineering operations, maintenance management, or similar senior role
• Proven leadership of engineering teams and large-scale operations
• Advanced MS Office proficiency for data analysis and reporting
• Excellent English communication, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all engineering operations, maintenance, and technical initiatives
• Develop and implement engineering strategies aligned with goals and best practices
• Oversee daily operations, enforce safety protocols, building codes, and regulatory compliance
• Direct maintenance, repairs, and optimization of building systems and spaces
• Manage budgets, control expenses, and contribute to financial planning
• Develop training programs to build technical expertise within the team
• Lead regular meetings to communicate updates and resolve challenges
• Ensure adherence to fire and life safety procedures and regulations
• Mentor staff and foster continuous improvement and innovation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering with organizational objectives
• Oversee capital investments and system upgrades
