Job summary

A leading financial institution in Dubai is seeking a highly experienced Chief Compliance Officer to oversee compliance and legal functions. Responsible for safeguarding the organization against regulatory risks and serving as the primary contact with regulators. Candidates should have a minimum of 15 years in compliance within financial services and strong knowledge of UAE regulations. This role requires excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as established credibility with UAE regulators.

General Overview

Intelligent Solutions have been mandated by a leading financial institution in Dubai to hire a highly experienced Chief Compliance Officer (MLRO) to oversee their compliance and legal function.

This role is responsible for safeguarding the organization against regulatory risks, maintaining strong governance, and serving as the primary point of contact with regulators and supervisory authorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the main liaison with regulatory authorities, auditors, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee compliance risk assessments, frameworks, and governance controls.
  • Ensure timely submission of regulatory and statutory reports.
  • Advise senior management and the Board on regulatory requirements and compliance matters.
  • Serve as MLRO, responsible for reviewing, assessing, and reporting suspicious transactions.
  • Develop and implement AML / CTF training programs across the organization.
  • Lead, mentor, and strengthen the compliance team to ensure effective performance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve compliance issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Globally recognized compliance certification.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in compliance within financial services.
  • Strong working knowledge of UAE banking regulations, AML, CTF, and sanctions compliance.
  • Proven track record advising Boards and senior executives on compliance strategy.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Established credibility with UAE regulators and compliance authorities.
