Job summary

Coins.ph, the pioneer crypto brand, is seeking a senior compliance leader based in the UAE to drive regulatory governance and readiness for VARA expectations as volumes grow. The role interfaces with Coins.ph leadership to align Dubai market realities with international expansion priorities.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in regulated financial services, strong credibility with regulators, and the ability to act as the primary regulator interface while navigating ambiguity in a fast-growing

Qualifications

• Senior compliance leader (UAE resident) with 5+ years relevant experience and hands-on exposure to regulated financial services environments aligned to VASP / fintech/ payments.
• Comfortable operating as the primary regulator interface, with the confidence and judgement to build credibility early and maintain it as volumes scale.
• Strong senior compliance leader from a comparable regulated environment in the UAE provided they clearly satisfy the experience threshold and can be accepted as a Responsible Individual.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory leadership and governance
• Own the compliance agenda end-to-end: readiness for VARA expectations, ongoing supervision, and scalable controls as volumes grow.
• Operate as VARA’s day-to-day interface, with the CEO still expected to demonstrate clear judgement and credibility during regulator engagement.
• Stakeholder management
• Establish credibility with VARA early; preference for leaders with prior UAE regulatory engagement—an existing relationship materially de-risks the set-up.
• Act as connective tissue between Dubai market realities and Coins.ph leadership, keeping the build aligned to international expansion priorities.
• Leadership expectations
• Builder mentality: hands-on, comfortable with ambiguity, able to create momentum fast from a standing start.
• Commercial + compliance maturity: move fast, but never at the expense of regulatory credibility and control integrity.
