Job summary

NicheHR LLP seeks a Chief Business Officer based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The CBO will define and implement the growth strategy for the Corporate & Business Insurance division, lead a team, and manage client relationships to drive sales and retention.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of leadership experience in the Insurance Industry, preferably with an MBA or as an Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute. This role is critical for ensuring the company competes effectively in the market and maximizes client profitability.

Chief Business Officer

We are looking for a Chief Business Officer for our clients based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.Industry: Insurance Broking/Brokerage.Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO).Direct Reports: Country Heads, Cluster Heads and Principal Officers.

Objectives

• Meeting monthly sales expectations.
• Creating, communicating & implementing the organization’s vision, mission and overall direction.
• Leading the development & implementation of the overall organization’s strategy.
• Soliciting advice and guidance when appropriate from the Board of Directors.
• Formulating and implementing the strategic plan that guides the direction of the organization.
• Overseeing the complete operation of the organization in accordance with the direction established in the strategic plans.
• Evaluating the success of the organization in reaching its goals.
• Looking at potential acquisitions or the sale of the company under circumstances that will enhance shareholder value.
• Representing the organization for civic and professional association responsibilities and activities in the local community and in global forums.
• Participating in industry-related events or associations that will enhance leadership skills, the organization’s reputation and the organization’s potential for success.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the implementation of the growth strategy for the Corporate & Business Insurance division of the Company.
• Management duties and responsibilities will be to focus across all channels and products (including process improvements coordinating the support functions as well as aligning head office with the distribution network) to maximize sales growth and retention of business.
• Build the Commercial & Business Insurance brand within the Company and the Company ensuring customer brand awareness.
• Ensure that the business competes on an equal footing in the Commercial Insurance marketplace across all major product lines and on offerings in the environment.
• Oversee and manage a sales team to achieve the business unit’s business objectives through a formulated and effective sales plan across the Company’s clients.
• Build effective client relationships and maximize cross‑selling revenues and client profitability while providing effective client support and relationship development relating to Corporate and Commercial Insurance.

Experience and Qualification

• Minimum 15 years of experience including leadership roles in Insurance Broking & General Insurance Industry and experience of working multinational across geographies.
• Preferably a Member of Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute or similar associations.
• Preferably MBA or CA with Insurance diplomas.
