Job summary

Confidential Careers is seeking a Chief Accountant to oversee the entire accounting function, ensuring timely financial reporting, compliance, and strong internal controls. You will lead and develop the accounting team and act as the main liaison with external auditors and tax authorities.

The role requires 6–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, with expertise in Oracle or SAP and advanced Excel for reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
• Professional qualification: CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks.
• Proven leadership and team management capability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and month-end/year-end close.
• Ensure financial statements comply with IFRS/local GAAP.
• Lead and develop the accounting team.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities.
• Review internal controls and close control gaps.
• Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Monitor payables, receivables, and overall financial position.
