Job summary

The role requires 5–7 years in chartering/shipping with 3+ years in a managerial capacity, strong negotiation, leadership, and market-analysis skills, and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Maritime Studies, Logistics or related field.
• Master's degree or IMC certification is a plus.
• 5–7 years of chartering or shipping operations experience; 3+ years in management.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate charter terms and contracts for vessels and transports.
• Build and maintain client relationships to secure repeat business.
• Monitor market conditions and adjust charter strategies.
• Coordinate operations to ensure on-time, compliant charter execution.
• Manage costs and maximize revenue for profitability.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and manage related risks.
• Maintain records and provide performance reports to senior management.
• Lead, train and mentor the chartering team.
