Job summary

Aesen Group in Dubai seeks a senior Commercial & Chartering professional with deep shipping industry expertise. You will lead chartering strategies, manage voyages and grow the commercial portfolio across vessels including offshore support assets.

The role requires a proven track record in negotiations, strong market insight, and leadership of a commercial team. You will collaborate with Finance, Operations and Legal to optimize fixtures and risk management.

Qualifications

10–15+ years of relevant experience in shipping, chartering or commercial operations.
Proven track record negotiating and executing chartering contracts and profitable fixtures.
Strong established network within the shipping/chartering industry.
Experience managing a commercial team is preferred.
Strong knowledge of charter-party terms, shipping regulations and commercial practices.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute chartering strategies aligned with business and financial objectives.
Identify and evaluate market opportunities, cargo requirements, vessel positions and potential fixtures.
Lead negotiations for voyage, time-charter and other chartering contracts.
Maximize vessel utilization, freight earnings and overall commercial returns.
Review and approve commercial terms to align with risk appetite and delegation of authority.
Monitor fixture performance, freight rates, market trends and competitor activity.
Develop and maintain a strong network of charterers, shipowners, brokers and stakeholders.
Develop new customer relationships and expand the portfolio.
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and ensure high satisfaction.
Support development of new trade routes and cargo segments.
