Channel Manager (Storage Sales)

As a Channel Sales Manager, you are responsible for selling Vendor's Storage Products through Channel Partners and directly to customers in Enterprise Organizations within an assigned geographic area. Your ability to penetrate new divisions and organizations within your assigned accounts, and develop new accounts, is essential for success in this role. Cross-functional teams from the client’s Marketing, Systems Engineering, and Product Development departments provide support and tools to help you achieve and exceed sales performance goals.

Essential Functions:

The primary responsibilities of the Channel Sales Manager include working directly with channel partners or customers to identify sales opportunities and collaborating effectively across various functions with other employees. Your focus will be on managing several identified channel partners (50%) and acquiring new Enterprise clients (50%).

  • Use relationship management techniques to develop sales opportunities within partner organizations, penetrate new divisions and organizations within assigned partner accounts, and develop new direct selling opportunities.
  • Schedule and attend sales calls with prospects within partner organizations. Client Channel Partner Representatives may also participate in sales calls to assist in qualifying opportunities.
  • Develop channel management plans and mapping, including identifying top channels in the region, assessing sales volume, and strategizing pricing with major vendors.
  • Utilize a consultative approach to discuss business issues with prospects, and develop formal quotes, sales proposals, or presentations tailored to their business needs.
  • Respond to RFPs and follow up with customers.
  • Create account management plans to sell based on customer business needs.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing accounts and new prospects.
Requirements:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
  • Familiarity with the UAE and other GCC countries' storage markets, with the ability to analyze market conditions, pricing, competition, target channel partners, and sales volume.
  • Basic technical knowledge of storage solutions, with familiarity with mid-range and low-end products from major storage vendors.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teams across sales, marketing, sales operations, systems engineering, and product development.
  • Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and consultative sales techniques.
  • A strong understanding of how technology products and solutions address business challenges.
  • Ability to communicate with senior management about business challenges and storage solutions.
  • Experience with contact management software.
  • A proven track record of exceeding sales quotas over multiple consecutive years.

Responsibility: This role involves resolving complex issues using professional concepts and aligning with company objectives. The individual manages a specific geographic install base, including large, complex, high-visibility accounts.

Interaction: The individual works effectively with senior internal personnel, supporting functions, and maintains direct contact with customers. Operates with limited supervision and influences sales team decisions, potentially acting as a team leader for projects.
