Job summary

AM PM in Dubai is seeking an experienced Category Manager to own a key product category within the local market. You will develop strategy, manage the portfolio across its lifecycle, and drive commercial performance.

The role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of retail products and consumer demand, and the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and supply chain to deliver results.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Category Management or similar commercial role.
• Experience with retail products and end consumers.
• Knowledge of category strategy, assortment, pricing, and lifecycle.
• Strong analytical and commercial skills; manage sales, margin, cost, inventory turnover.
• Advanced Excel, Power BI, and 1C skills; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category and product strategy for the assigned territory.
• Define product positioning, value proposition, pricing policy and assortment strategy.
• Analyze consumer demand, market trends and competitors to identify opportunities.
• Develop and manage the assortment matrix for short- and long-term perspectives.
• Manage product lifecycle including launches and phase-outs.
• Formulate product requirements and market requests for the territory.
• Manage and optimize product cost and profitability.
• Monitor and improve KPIs: revenue, margin, sales, and inventory turnover.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive category development.

AM PM is looking for an experienced Category Manager to join our team in Dubai and take ownership of a product category within the assigned territory.

The role is responsible for developing and implementing the category strategy, managing the product portfolio throughout its lifecycle, identifying market opportunities, and driving key commercial performance indicators.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a commercial mindset and a deep understanding of retail products, consumer demand, and competitive dynamics.

Tasks

• Develop and implement the category and product strategy for the assigned territory.


• Define product positioning, value proposition, pricing policy, and assortment strategy based on market needs.


• Analyze consumer demand, market trends, and competitors to identify new opportunities and promising segments.


• Develop and manage the assortment matrix for short- and long-term perspectives.
  
• Manage the product lifecycle, including new product launches and product phase-outs.


• Formulate product requirements and market requests based on the needs of the territory.


• Manage and optimize product cost and profitability.


• Monitor and improve key commercial KPIs, including revenue, margin, sales, and inventory turnover.


• Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive category development and commercial performance.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Category Management, Product Management or a similar commercial role.


• Experience with retail products and end consumers. Experience with Excel and structured data analysis


• Strong knowledge of category strategy, assortment management, pricing, and product lifecycle management.


• Strong analytical and commercial skills, with experience managing sales, margin, cost, and inventory turnover.


• Advanced Excel, Power BI, and 1C skills.


• Fluent English.
