Qualifications

• Experience in construction procurement, category management, strategic sourcing, real estate procurement, contractor management, or capital project purchasing.
• Strong understanding of construction trades including civil works, architectural works, interior fit-out, MEP, fire protection, and related building systems.
• Strong commercial judgment with experience in supplier negotiations, bid evaluation, contract strategy, cost benchmarking, and risk mitigation.
• Ability to work across complex stakeholder groups including construction, engineering, real estate, finance, legal, operations, and procurement leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute construction category sourcing strategies across Africa, Middle East, and Turkey for major real estate and construction programs.
• Manage sourcing activities across different supply chain tiers including general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, manufacturers, and OEM partners.
• Lead procurement strategies for construction trades including civil works, architectural packages, interior fit-out, MEP systems, fire protection, and related project scopes.
• Identify opportunities to improve Amazon’s competitiveness while maintaining strong quality, delivery, cost, and supplier reliability standards.
• Support continuity of supply by assessing supplier capacity, market conditions, risk exposure, and project delivery requirements across multiple countries.
• Define procurement opportunities that match the needs of different Amazon business units, real estate projects, and regional growth plans.
• Build category plans that balance commercial value, supplier capability, project timelines, sustainability goals, and operational requirements.
• Work closely with internal construction, real estate, engineering, finance, legal, operations, and global procurement teams to align sourcing priorities.
• Lead supplier market analysis, benchmarking, negotiation planning, bid evaluation, and recommendation development for construction packages.
• Drive supplier selection processes that support project competitiveness, technical compliance, safety expectations, and long-term business value.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures, service levels, contract conditions, and risk mitigation measures with construction suppliers and contractors.
• Establish supplier performance mechanisms to monitor delivery quality, cost control, schedule adherence, and issue resolution.
• Support sustainable procurement practices by identifying suppliers and solutions that align with environmental commitments and responsible sourcing goals.
• Manage procurement risks across geographical boundaries, business unit requirements, and complex construction delivery environments.
• Prepare category updates, sourcing recommendations, supplier insights, and procurement performance summaries for senior leadership reviews.
• Improve procurement processes, sourcing templates, contract mechanisms, and supplier engagement models to create lasting category improvements.

Ideal Profile

• Experience in construction procurement, category management, strategic sourcing, real estate procurement, contractor management, or capital project purchasing.
• Strong understanding of construction trades including civil works, architectural works, interior fit-out, MEP, fire protection, and related building systems.
• Experience sourcing and managing general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, OEMs, consultants, and construction service providers.
• Ability to manage procurement activities for multi-million-dollar real estate, infrastructure, warehouse, fulfillment, logistics, or commercial construction projects.
• Strong commercial judgment with experience in supplier negotiations, bid evaluation, contract strategy, cost benchmarking, and risk mitigation.
• Knowledge of regional construction markets across Middle East, Africa, Turkey, or comparable international environments is an advantage.
• Ability to work across complex stakeholder groups including construction, engineering, real estate, finance, legal, operations, and procurement leadership.
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently in fast-paced, ambiguous, and results-driven environments.
