Job summary

Emirates Group in Dubai seeks a Cargo Operations Agent to support the Safety team, ensuring safe, quality handling and processing of cargo, courier and mail in cargo warehouses and airside operations. You will coordinate with authorities, monitor equipment and optimize loading to meet service targets.

Qualifications

• 10 years of schooling or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a cargo, warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of aircraft handling, ramp handling, cargo terminal handling procedures.
• Fluent written and spoken English language.

Responsibilities

• Direct a team through handling and processing of cargo, courier and mail ensuring safety, quality and efficiency.
• Inspect, verify and count goods at delivery points and update Skychain with shipment details for tracking.
• Liaise with customs, health and police to ensure timely movement of cargo and mail.
• Ensure safe handling of dangerous goods per IATA regs and GDP requirements for pharmaceuticals.
• Plan loading into ULDs and aircraft to optimize capacity and meet priorities.
• Advise on deviations from planned cargo uplift to minimize impact on service and revenue.
• Inspect ULDs and equipment, report deficiencies to maintain safety and extend lifespan.
• Monitor offloading/ unloading and verify adherence to policies and procedures.
• Track delivery times from ramp to warehouse to maintain quality and customer service.
