Salary: 12,000–20,000 AED monthly (estimated range; final offer to be confirmed by employer).
Key Responsibilities
- Work with students individually and in groups to support career planning, academic pathways, and informed decision‑making.
- Help students understand education requirements, training options, university routes, and career progression opportunities.
- Lead workshops on career management, career decision‑making, employability, resume writing, interview preparation, and portfolio development.
- Use career assessment tools to help students identify interests, values, aptitudes, abilities, lifestyle preferences, and personal strengths.
- Connect student characteristics and goals with suitable higher education pathways, occupations, work experience, and future employment options.
- Provide current labour market information so students can make realistic and well‑informed career choices.
- Collaborate with local and international universities, education providers, businesses, agencies, and community organisations.
- Support students with disabilities, language differences, cultural needs, or other barriers that may affect education or employment planning.
- Help students explore work experience placements, internships, employer engagement, and career‑related opportunities.
- Plan and deliver career education programmes, university guidance activities, employment‑readiness sessions, and pathway events.
- Refer students to appropriate internal or external services when additional academic, emotional, or specialist support is required.
- Maintain accurate student records, reports, guidance notes, and administrative documentation related to career counselling services.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, universities, employers, and wider community partners.
Ideal Profile
- Post‑secondary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Education, or a related discipline.
- Certificate, diploma, degree, or professional training in career development is preferred.
- Experience supporting students with career guidance, university admissions, education planning, or employability development.
- Strong understanding of student advising, career assessment tools, tertiary education pathways, and labour market information.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with confident presentation and workshop facilitation ability.
- Patient, objective, respectful, and tactful approach when working with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and guide students while listening carefully and without judgment.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage records, events, workshops, and follow‑up support.
- Comfortable facilitating group sessions and working with students, parents, teachers, universities, employers, and community agencies.
- Commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing, inclusion, confidentiality, and professional counselling standards.
