First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) is seeking a senior Originator/Trader in Environmental Products to develop FAB's Carbon Markets franchise across Compliance and Voluntary Markets. The role requires building client relationships, partnering with sales and ESG teams, and managing carbon trading and risk activities from Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years' experience in commodity trading with strong carbon exposure.
• Strong knowledge of commodity markets, trading platforms and trading systems.
• Proven track record of managing commodities risk.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Open to collaboration across desks and teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop FAB Carbon Markets franchise (both Compliance Markets and Voluntary Markets).
• Trade, price and risk manage all carbon products.
• Establish relationships with key clients and counterparties.
• Collaborate with sales, ESG and other product groups.
• Drive the carbon offsets origination initiative and growth of the flow business.
• Monitor and manage desk risk within limits and risk tolerance.
