Job summary

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) is seeking an Executive Director to lead the Carbon Markets franchise in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on developing both Compliance and Voluntary carbon markets, expanding client coverage, and integrating with ESG and product teams to deliver robust carbon trading solutions for regional and global clients.

The candidate will manage carbon trading activity, pricing, and risk, drive origination, and build lasting relationships with key clients and counterparties,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commodity trading experience with strong carbon expertise.
• Strong knowledge of commodity markets, trading platforms and trading systems.
• Proven track record of managing commodities risk and driving revenue.

Responsibilities

• Develop FAB Carbon Markets franchise across Compliance and Voluntary Markets.
• Enhance desk capabilities and grow the carbon franchise.
• Partner with sales teams and ESG to support client strategy.
• Trade, price, and manage risk for carbon products; generate P&L.
