Job summary

Dorchester Collection in Dubai is seeking a Captain to lead the day-to-day operations of a luxury F&B outlet. You will greet guests, present menus, and upsell with passion, ensuring top-tier service and an immaculate dining environment.

You will train a team of waiters, uphold our We Care values, and help achieve revenue targets while maintaining exceptional hospitality standards in a premium hotel setting.

Qualifications

• English is the primary language; other languages desirable.
• Relevant professional certification or hotel school diploma and past luxury hotel/restaurant experience in the Middle East.
• Experience leading a team of waiters in luxury hotels/restaurants.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the F&B outlet to ensure premier guest experience.
• Greet guests and present the menu, recommend and upsell items with passion and knowledge.
• Ensure service standards are met, and the outlet is spotless with the support of the team.
• Train and mentor the wait staff to achieve excellence and high guest satisfaction.
• Support revenue targets, control costs, and participate in pre-service briefings.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure impeccable presentation and optimal reservations.

What you'll do

• You will be responsible for the daytoday operations of the F&B outlet to ensure our guests receive nothing but the best experience.
• You will be in charge of warmly greeting guests assigned to your area of the restaurant presenting the menu recommending and upselling menu items through your passion and knowledge ensuring the highest guest satisfaction.
• Serving others is your passion you will be ensuring the outlet is in immaculate condition and all service standards are adhered to by the supporting team members.
• You will also be in charge of training and mentoring the entire team of waiters ensuring their knowledge is second to none and they are able to assist our guests in the best possible way.

• You are aware of revenue targets and ensuring these are achieved and exceeded simultaneously all costs are controlled within preset budgets including beverage cost and other expenses.
• By taking part in a daily team briefing preservice you ensure you are well informed of the daily happenings around the hotel as well as the upcoming service.
• During your daily routine you liaise with other departments when required to ensure an immaculate presentation of your outlet high standards of cleanliness as well as maintenance are upheld at all times including restaurant furniture equipment floors fixtures and fittings.
• Together with your team of hostesses you ensure the restaurant reservations are optimized to ensure wellcontrolled productivity optimal guest satisfaction and optimized revenue generation.
• In collaboration with your service team you ensure fantastic quality of beverage preparation presentation and beverage inventory control.
