Job summary

Iquest Management Consultants in Dubai is seeking an experienced 11KV/33KV Cable Jointer to perform jointing, termination, testing and fault rectification on MV networks. The candidate should have practical experience with 11KV and 33KV cables, substations, distribution panels, and safe working practices.

The role requires DEWA certificates, a GCC driving license, and 3–5 years of hands-on MV experience. You will work in substations and MV installations, ensuring safety and timely reporting to

Qualifications

• Trade Certificate in Electrical from a recognized institute.
• DEWA-authorized Jointing Certificate – Mandatory.
• 3–5 years of practical experience in 11KV and 33KV cable jointing.
• Hands-on experience in MV cable jointing, termination, testing and fault rectification.
• Good knowledge of electrical installations, substations, and distribution panels.
• Familiarity with modern electrical testing instruments used for cable jointing and termination.
• Good understanding of electrical safety and safe working practices.
• Good field reporting and communication skills.
• Valid GCC Driving License – Mandatory.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts and respond to emergency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform 11KV and 33KV cable jointing and termination works as per approved procedures and standards.
• Carry out cable preparation, jointing, termination, insulation and connection works.
• Conduct testing and inspection of cable joints and terminations using appropriate modern test instruments.
• Identify and rectify cable faults and support emergency fault restoration activities.
• Work in electrical substations, distribution panels, and MV electrical installations.
• Ensure all jointing and termination activities are completed safely and according to approved procedures.
• Follow electrical safety rules, permit-to-work procedures, isolation/LOTO requirements, and site safety standards.
• Maintain proper records of completed jointing, termination, testing, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare accurate field reports and communicate work status to supervisors/engineers.
• Coordinate with electrical maintenance and operations teams during planned and emergency works.
• Be willing to work in rotational shifts, including 24/7 operations.

Job Summary
