Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Buyer (Oil & Gas) in Dubai to lead end-to-end procurement for projects, from supplier identification to PO issuance and delivery monitoring.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, maintain records, and collaborate with operations, engineering and finance to forecast demand and optimize inventory, supporting budgets and schedules. GCC experience is advantageous for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in SCM, Business, or Engineering.
• Proven procurement and supplier management experience.
• Experience with ERP/procurement systems and MS Office.
• GCC/regional experience is beneficial.
• On-site Dubai work required.

Job description

The Buyer (Oil & Gas) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Buyer will manage end-to-end procurement activities for oil and gas projects, including identifying suppliers, requesting and evaluating quotations, and negotiating commercial terms. Daily responsibilities include preparing purchase orders, monitoring delivery schedules, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations, and maintaining accurate procurement records. The role also involves collaborating with operations, engineering, and finance teams to forecast demand, optimize inventory, and support project timelines and budgets. The Buyer will continuously review supplier performance, maintain strong vendor relationships, and contribute to cost-saving and efficiency initiatives within the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management within the oil and gas sector.
• Proficiency in vendor sourcing, quotation analysis, and contract negotiation with local and international suppliers.
• Experience working with ERP or procurement systems and solid skills in MS Office (especially Excel and Word).
• Understanding of industry standards, health and safety regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to oil and gas operations.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline; professional procurement certifications (e.g., CIPS) are an advantage.
• Proven experience in a Buyer or similar procurement role in oil and gas or heavy industry; regional GCC experience is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Dubai and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
