Job summary

UNCO Oil in Dubai seeks a Senior Business Development Manager to identify, evaluate and secure new upstream opportunities including licensing rounds, farm-ins, acquisitions and partnerships. You will lead commercial and technical due diligence with our subsurface, engineering and finance teams and present investment recommendations to leadership.

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Geoscience, Economics or Business.
• 8+ years in upstream business development, new ventures or commercial roles.
• Track record maturing and closing upstream deals internationally.
• Strong grasp of upstream fiscal terms, valuation and negotiation.
• Fluent English; willing to travel.

• Screen and mature new upstream opportunities: license rounds, farm-ins, A&D and partnerships.

• Lead negotiations of PSCs, JOAs and commercial agreements with legal and commercial support.
• Track country/market and competitor intelligence to guide entry and growth strategy.

About the Role

As Business Development Manager at UNCO OIL, you grow the portfolio that defines the company’s future. You identify, evaluate and secure new upstream opportunities — licensing rounds, farm-ins, acquisitions and partnerships — and build the pipeline that scales the business. Leading commercial and technical due diligence with our subsurface, engineering and finance teams, you build the valuation cases and present investment recommendations to leadership. You develop the relationships with NOCs, governments and partners and lead the PSC, JOA and commercial negotiations that turn opportunities into assets. This is a senior, deal-driving role for someone who can see value others miss and close it.
