UNCO OIL in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Senior Geophysicist to drive subsurface interpretation, seismic mapping, and confidence assessments across exploration and development projects.
You will collaborate with geology, petrophysics and reservoir engineering, define acquisition standards, and mentor juniors while helping de-risk prospects to support drill decisions. Fluent English required.
UNCO Oil is an independent exploration and production company under Anton Oilfield Services Group (ANTON), focused on uncovering hidden value through a non-consensus investment approach and unconventional insights. The company leverages ANTON’s strengths in exploration and development research, asset evaluation, and regional market platforms to identify premium opportunities. Supported by robust financing and commercial operations capabilities, UNCO Oil is positioned to deliver breakthrough value creation across its portfolio. Its integrated expertise in oilfield construction and management enables efficient project execution and long-term asset performance, offering professionals a dynamic environment to contribute to high-impact energy projects.
As a Senior Geophysicist at UNCO OIL, you bring the subsurface into focus and put a confidence level on it. You interpret 2D/3D seismic, run attribute and quantitative-interpretation workflows, and de-risk prospects and reservoirs so the company can invest with clarity. Your maps, models and volume estimates underpin exploration, appraisal and well-placement decisions across our operated portfolio. You will work closely with geologists, petrophysicists and reservoir engineers, and set the acquisition and processing standards that keep our data fit for purpose. In a fast-moving independent, your geophysical judgment has a direct line to the drill bit and to the value we create.
UNCO OIL is an equal-opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of all nationalities, backgrounds and genders, and select talent on merit.
