We are seeking a Business Development Manager (EMS) to join our Services_INMEC team in the United Arab Emirates.

Purpose of the job: To ensure the long-term sustainable development of the Electromechanical Services (EMS) offering across the Middle East and CIS regions. Responsible for developing the product line business development plan, building customer networks, and influencing/achieving sustainable growth by promoting a culture of being the customers' trusted service provider.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Act as the main contact for all business development activities related to electromechanical service offerings in the Middle East & CIS regions.
  • Collaborate with the sub-region management team to develop, lead, and drive the progress of the strategic plan for the EMS product lines within the sub-region.
  • Increase sustainable order intake and sales revenue streams for the EMS product line by expanding the number of jobs, maximizing revenue from each job, and leveraging market intelligence both commercially and externally.
  • Achieve high success in growing order intake and sales revenue by developing winning customer strategies and ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Develop long-term contracts with customers that position Sulzer as the go-to service partner for all rotating equipment, including turnaround management.
  • Build high-level influence networks.
  • Establish strong relationships with client organizations, focusing on developing a preferential relationship and mutually rewarding collaborations.
  • Deliver value-added services and products, including transactional intelligence and strategic development, to foster trusted relationships with customers.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration within the sales and operations teams in the sub-region and wider regional teams.
  • Contribute to the sub-region EMS operational plan.
  • Support the identification of opportunities for other Service product lines, such as pump service, parts, retrofits, TS, and GTS.
  • Ensure adherence to Sulzer policies, procedures, codes of conduct, and best practices.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Degree in management, engineering, science, or business discipline.
  • Experience working with DC & AC, LV & HV motors, generators, and associated site services.
  • At least 5 years of experience in similar Business Development Manager roles in the Middle East.
  • Proven track record of sustainable growth in business revenue streams.
  • Experience in formulating and implementing business strategies.
  • Understanding of P&L, forecasting, and budget management.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Results-driven with a strategic mindset.
  • Business and people-oriented approach.
  • Knowledge of the sub-region.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in general computer skills.
