Job summary

Halian Group is seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to support transformation initiatives within a leading financial services environment in Abu Dhabi. You will gather and document requirements, coordinate activities, and translate needs into actionable solutions, working with business, operations, credit, technology, and project teams.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of experience in similar roles within banking or financial services, strong analytical and stakeholder management

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in banking/financial services.
• Experience capturing requirements and documenting BRDs, user stories, and process flows.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience coordinating UAT and testing activities.
• Experience in regulated environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor project and change initiative activities.
• Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder sessions.
• Capture, analyze, and document business requirements and process flows.
• Prepare BRDs, user stories, and project documentation.
• Support project planning, progress tracking, and reporting.
• Manage smaller projects or workstreams within larger programmes.
• Identify risks, issues, delays, and dependencies, escalating as needed.

• Support testing by preparing test cases and coordinating UAT.

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to support business transformation and change initiatives within a leading financial services environment.

This role will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, coordinating project activities, and supporting the successful delivery of business and technology initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, technology teams, and project managers to ensure requirements are clearly defined and effectively translated into business solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent stakeholder management capabilities, and experience working within banking or financial services environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor project and change initiative activities to ensure successful delivery.
• Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder sessions.
• Capture, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows.
• Prepare business requirement documents (BRDs), user stories, and supporting project documentation.
• Support project planning, progress tracking, and reporting activities.
• Manage smaller projects or individual workstreams within larger transformation programmes.
• Identify risks, issues, delays, and dependencies, escalating where necessary.
• Work closely with business, operations, credit, technology, and project teams to support delivery objectives.
• Support testing activities by preparing test cases, coordinating UAT, and validating business outcomes.
• Participate in end-user training and change management activities.
• Track project milestones and maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Ensure solutions align with business requirements and organizational objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Coordinator, or related role within banking or financial services.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Quality Management, Finance, or a related discipline.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience within banking and financial services environments.
• Exposure to process improvement, operational excellence, or transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Lean Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
• Experience using project management and collaboration tools.
