Job description

The NOW (www.nowfoods.com) Brand Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of assigned nutraceutical brand across GCC markets, covering strategy development, commercial performance, and operational execution. The role is accountable for delivering revenue growth, profitability, and market share, while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, internal governance standards, and brand guidelines.

The position requires a structured and analytical approach to translating market insights into actionable plans and ensuring consistent execution across multiple channels, including healthcare, e-commerce, modern trade, and tender business. The Brand Manager works closely with Sales, Marketing, Medical, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Finance, and Digital teams to align priorities, optimise performance, and address operational challenges.

In addition, the role contributes to portfolio development and long-term brand sustainability by identifying growth opportunities, supporting new product initiatives, and strengthening customer and stakeholder engagement. The Brand Manager is expected to operate with a high level of accountability, collaboration, and integrity, in line with NCH Culture, ensuring both business performance and organisational alignment.

What You Will Own
Brand Strategy, Business Planning & P&L
  • Own the short and long-term strategy for NOW across the GCC, translating market opportunities into clear commercial priorities and growth plans.
  • Lead the annual business planning process, setting objectives for revenue, profitability, market share, distribution, portfolio development and brand investment.
  • Take direct accountability for the brand P&L, including revenue, gross margin, marketing investment, trade spend and overall profitability.
  • Manage the trade-offs between sales growth, margin, investment, pricing, inventory and long-term brand development.
  • Lead regular business reviews, identify performance gaps and determine corrective actions to ensure commercial commitments are delivered.
  • Define and implement distribution strategy, ensuring optimal presence across key accounts, channels, and customer segments.
  • Expand distribution in high-potential accounts while rationalising underperforming channels to improve efficiency and return on investment.
  • Monitor channel contribution and account performance, reducing over-reliance on single customers or channels.
  • Contribute to tender and institutional business planning, supporting pricing, participation decisions, and volume planning in coordination with commercial and regulatory teams.
  • Align with Sales teams to ensure execution of distribution priorities and commercial plans.
Marketing Strategy & Budget Governance
  • Develop and manage the annual brand marketing and trade budget across offline and online channels, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and ROI targets.
  • Allocate resources across medical, trade, and digital activities based on performance data, customer insights, and channel roles.
  • Ensure full compliance with brand guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal financial controls.
  • Monitor budget utilisation, manage accruals and variances, and optimise spend effectiveness in coordination with Finance.
  • Partner with principals to translate global strategies into locally relevant, compliant, and commercially effective marketing plans.
Brand Activation & Omnichannel Execution
  • Translate brand strategy into integrated marketing plans covering medical promotion, trade activities, and digital campaigns.
  • Ensure consistent execution of brand messaging, positioning, and visual identity across all channels and customer touchpoints.
  • Drive campaign effectiveness by continuously evaluating performance and optimising promotional activities.
  • Leverage digital platforms and data analytics to enhance customer engagement, improve campaign effectiveness, and support omnichannel growth.
Forecasting, Supply & Inventory Management
  • Lead brand-level forecasting and demand planning, ensuring alignment with sales trends, promotional plans, and market dynamics.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain to ensure product availability, minimise stock-outs, and maintain optimal service levels.
  • Monitor inventory health, proactively managing slow-moving and near-expiry stock through corrective actions.
  • Support lifecycle planning including launches, relaunches, and phase-outs in coordination with relevant functions.
  • Identify portfolio gaps and contribute to new product initiatives, line extensions, and portfolio optimisation based on market needs and performance insights.
Field Excellence & Customer Engagement
  • Define medical detailing priorities, target segments, and core messages aligned with brand strategy and scientific positioning.
  • Develop and refine customer segmentation and targeting strategies to optimise field force effectiveness and resource allocation.
  • Ensure field teams are equipped with compliant, up-to-date materials and clear execution objectives.
  • Conduct selective field visits to assess execution quality, provide coaching, and ensure alignment with brand standards.
  • Leverage CRM insights to refine targeting, improve engagement, and enhance customer experience.
Team Contribution & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Contribute to building a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative team environment in line with NCH Culture DNA.
  • Support team development through coaching, feedback, and alignment on objectives and priorities.
  • Drive effective cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment, speed, and execution excellence.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, integrity, and continuous improvement across all interactions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support brand growth and execution excellence.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Nutrition, or a related field, with an MBA.
  • 8+ years of experience in brand management and business development in the wellness/healthcare industry and across channels, including pharmacies, tender and e-commerce channels.
  • Strong experience managing teams within nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, consumer healthcare or another relevant consumer-led sector.
