The BMS Technician is responsible for maintaining dependable building automation and control systems while supporting uninterrupted facility operations. Working closely with Facilities teams and contractors, the role monitors system performance, responds to faults and alarms, performs technical maintenance, and contributes to improved reliability and energy efficiency.
The role supports the safe and reliable operation of HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, plumbing, and associated building systems. Maintenance activities must comply with company procedures, applicable maintenance standards, and health and safety requirements. The BMS Technician will identify potential equipment failures, recommend corrective actions, participate in emergency response and on‑call duties when required, and report hazards or unsafe conditions promptly.
Familiarity with building automation communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, or similar systems is preferred. The position also benefits from practical knowledge of integrated building services and the interaction between BMS controls and HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, plumbing, and utility systems.
