Job summary

AL TAYER GROUP LLC (Ventures division) seeks a seasoned BMS Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning and handover of HVAC control systems across UAE projects. Preference for Honeywell Trend Niagara users.

5–10 years of UAE/GCC BMS experience required; strong know‑how in BACnet, Modbus, KNX and related protocols; fluent in coordinating with PMs, consultants and clients for successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of UAE/GCC BMS commissioning experience.
• Experience with Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider, Johnson Controls, Delta Controls or similar BMS platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-handling skills.
• UAE driving license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities for BMS across multiple projects.
• Perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and functional performance testing of HVAC control systems.
• Review control shop drawings, IO schedules, control logic and sequence of operations.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors and clients during project execution and handover.
• Verify field installations and ensure compliance with approved drawings and project specifications.
• Configure and commission DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, VAVs, FCUs, AHUs, Chillers and Energy Valves.
• Integrate third‑party systems through BACnet, Modbus, KNX and other communication protocols.
• Prepare commissioning reports, testing documentation and handover packages.
• Support troubleshooting and maintenance activities during the defect liability period.
• Ensure compliance with project quality, safety and commissioning standards.

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer with preference for Honeywell Trend Niagara users, minimum of 5 years hands‑on experience in commissioning, testing, troubleshooting and handover of Building Management Systems for commercial, residential and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities for BMS across multiple projects.
• Perform testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and functional performance testing of HVAC control systems.
• Review control shop drawings, IO schedules, control logic and sequence of operations.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors and clients during project execution and handover.

• Minimum 5 to 10 years of BMS commissioning experience in the UAE/GCC.
• Strong knowledge of Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider, Johnson Controls, Delta Controls or similar BMS platforms.
• Experience in HVAC systems, Chiller Plants, Energy Management Systems and Integrated Building Solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with BACnet, Modbus and other communication protocols.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer‑handling capabilities.
• UAE driving license preferred.
• Knowledge of MEP systems and control strategies.
• Experience in managing multiple commissioning projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and lead commissioning teams.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Experience in BMS project installation, commissioning, programming (graphical programming and/or coding), and integration of LON/BACnet/MSTP protocols, TCP/IP networks, Modbus, KNX, Profibus.
