Role Context

This role leads the implementation and governance of BIM processes across a complex rail infrastructure programme. The BIM Expert ensures that all design and construction models are aligned, coordinated, and compliant with project requirements while supporting stakeholders with technical expertise and digital engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead BIM strategy and implementation across major rail infrastructure projects
• Develop and enforce BIM workflows, standards, and execution plans across the programme
• Review and validate BIM models, CAD drawings, and digital deliverables for accuracy and compliance
• Coordinate multidisciplinary models to ensure clash-free and integrated outputs
• Establish and manage Common Data Environment systems for model sharing and collaboration
• Provide technical BIM guidance and support to engineering and construction teams
• Consolidate design models and present outputs to client stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with project BIM requirements and industry standards
• Monitor model quality and enforce data consistency across all project stages
• Support continuous improvement of BIM processes and digital workflows
