Job summary

Bureau Veritas do Brasil seeks an experienced Mechanical BIM Coordinator to lead the delivery of HVAC, plumbing, drainage and firefighting models in a coordinated, clash-free BIM environment in Abu Dhabi. You will work with structural, architectural, and electrical disciplines to ensure models meet BIM requirements and project standards.

Responsibilities include leading clash detection, coordinating meetings, reviewing LOD and information content, and ensuring model sharing per ISO 19650.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, drainage and firefighting models with structure, architecture and electrical disciplines.
• Run clash detection, lead coordination meetings and track issues to close out.
• Review mechanical models for LOD, clearances, maintenance access and information content.
• Check models against design drawings, equipment schedules and specifications.
• Define service zones and routing strategy in ceiling voids and risers with the other disciplines.
• Produce coordinated services drawings, sections and builders work drawings.
• Manage model sharing on the Common Data Environment in line with ISO 19650.
• Guide and review the work of mechanical BIM modelers.
• Support mechanical modelling activities as required, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire fighting systems.

• Coordinate HVAC, plumbing, drainage and fire fighting models with structure, architecture and electrical disciplines.
• Run clash detection, lead coordination meetings and track issues to close out.

• Check models against design drawings, equipment schedules and specifications.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of BIM experience on mechanical systems, including fire fighting.
• UAE experience preferred.

Software

Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Skills

• Hands on modelling skills to support the team when required.
• Working knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM Execution Plans.
• Experience with model review, clash detection and LOD requirements.
• Good communication and reporting skills in English.
• Ability to work with clients, consultants and contractors.
