Job summary

Fatherson International FZE is seeking a skilled Mechanical BIM Modeller to develop and manage 3D mechanical models for UAE MEP projects using BIM software. The role focuses on coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing 3D mechanical BIM models for UAE MEP projects.
• Knowledge of BIM workflows, BEP and LOD requirements.
• Ability to generate shop drawings, MTO and installation drawings from BIM models.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 3D Mechanical BIM models for HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting systems using Revit MEP.
• Prepare coordinated BIM models in accordance with BEP, project specs and LOD needs.
• Create HVAC ducting, chilled water piping, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection models.
• Perform clash detection and resolve coordination issues using Navisworks.
• Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Electrical, and ELV disciplines to ensure clash‑free models.
• Generate shop drawings, installation drawings, sections, schedules, and MTO from BIM models.
• Update models based on consultant comments, RFIs, design revisions, and site requirements.
• Prepare as‑built BIM models upon project completion.
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations, ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA and project specs.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and provide technical support to project teams.
• Maintain BIM documentation, model revisions, and project standards.

The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in high‑rise, commercial, residential, hospitality and mixed‑use building projects with strong knowledge of UAE construction standards and BIM workflows.
