SO/ Uptown Dubai is seeking a professional Bellman to warmly welcome guests, assist with luggage, and guide guests through hotel services in a luxury setting in Dubai. As a key first point of contact, you will escort guests, share information about facilities and local attractions, coordinate transportation, and collaborate with Front Office, Concierge, and Housekeeping to ensure seamless experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous Bellman or related hotel service experience.
• Experience in 5-star or luxury resort environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent English; additional languages advantageous.
• Guest-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests upon arrival and departure.
• Assist guests with loading, unloading, and transporting luggage.
• Escort guests to rooms and explain room features and hotel services.
• Provide information about facilities, dining options, activities, and local attractions.
• Coordinate taxi services and airport transfers.
• Deliver luggage and items to rooms promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of entrance, bell desk, and lobby areas.
• Assist with valet parking and guest parking inquiries.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Concierge, and Housekeeping to ensure seamless service.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel services, hours, events, and local attractions.
• Handle guest belongings with care and follow procedures for lost and found items.
• Provide service to VIP guests and assist with special occasions as needed.
• Promote hotel facilities and services in a genuine and helpful manner.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
• Comply with hotel policies, health and safety procedures, and security standards.

We're looking for a professional and enthusiastic Bellman to join our hospitality team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Bellman, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, delivering warm, efficient, and personalized service that sets the tone for their entire stay. This role is essential to creating memorable guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your attention to detail, collaborative spirit, and customer-focused approach will directly contribute to guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

• Welcome and greet guests warmly upon arrival and departure, creating a positive first impression
• Assist guests with loading, unloading, and transporting luggage with care and professionalism
• Escort guests to their rooms and provide clear explanations of room features, hotel services, and available amenities
• Deliver accurate and helpful information about hotel facilities, dining options, recreational activities, and local attractions
• Coordinate guest transportation arrangements, including taxi services and airport transfers, with efficiency and reliability
• Promptly deliver luggage, messages, packages, and other items to guest rooms while maintaining discretion
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance of the hotel entrance, lobby, bell desk, and luggage storage areas
• Assist with valet parking procedures and guest parking inquiries as needed
• Handle guest requests professionally and follow up to ensure complete satisfaction
• Collaborate effectively with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, and other departments to provide seamless service
• Maintain current knowledge of hotel services, operating hours, special events, and local attractions
• Handle guest belongings with care and follow proper procedures for lost and found items
• Provide personalized and attentive service to VIP guests and support special occasions when required
• Promote hotel facilities, activities, and services in a genuine and helpful manner
• Report maintenance issues, guest concerns, or safety hazards to the appropriate department promptly
• Comply with all hotel policies, health and safety procedures, and security standards at all times
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the hotel's grooming and uniform standards

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Bellman, Bellboy, Porter, Concierge Assistant, or in a similar hotel service position (preferred)
• Experience working in a 5-star or luxury resort environment (advantageous)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests from diverse backgrounds
• Fluent command of English; proficiency in additional languages is highly advantageous
• Friendly, confident, and genuinely guest-oriented personality with a service-first mindset
• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment
• Physical fitness and capability to handle guest luggage and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work harmoniously across departments
• Exceptional customer service skills with a commitment to exceeding guest expectations
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple guest requests simultaneously
• Problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness in addressing guest needs creatively
• Professional appearance and commitment to maintaining grooming and uniform standards
• Knowledge of hotel operations, facilities, and services (or willingness to develop this knowledge)
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion
• Safety and security awareness with understanding of hotel protocols and procedures
