Job summary

Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort is seeking a skilled bartender to deliver exceptional service in a luxury resort setting. You will craft cocktails, handle guest requests, and uphold brand standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires knowledge of cocktails, strong communication skills, and experience with a POS system, with a focus on accuracy and hospitality. Join Minor Hotels’ renowned hospitality team in Ras Al Khaimah.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes, and drink preparation techniques.
  • Friendly communication, active listening, and the ability to handle customer requests professionally.
  • Ability to operate a POS system, process payments, and maintain accurate transactions.
  • Previous experience in bartending in luxury hotel and restaurant.
  • Comfortable standing for long periods and working in a busy environment.
  • Good memory, attention to detail, patience, teamwork, reliability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Good spoken English is commonly useful, particularly in international hospitality environments such as Dubai.
  • Additional languages can be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • To display the best of our national hospitality and professionalism with guests.
  • To take pride in all facets of service, quality, appearance and cleanliness, in yourself and your area of responsibility.
  • To understand and adhere to Beverage Department Standard Operating Procedures and to always be looking to recommend improvements to those procedures.
  • To professionally set up bar at the start of opening, including liquor, icing, glassware, juices and garnishes.
  • To process drink orders in proper calling order, to check for correct number of drinks and manage billing quickly and efficiently.
  • To make all cocktails in accordance with Minor Hotels Resorts & Spas standard beverage manual, using full standard measures.
  • Bar professionals will receive and check liquor against previous shift’s requisitions. Any discrepancies with the receiving order should be brought to the attention of the Beverage Manager.
  • To manage security in the work area, and at no time to leave the bar area unless properly relieved by a colleague.
  • Assist with cleanup - mopping floors, removal of cans and bottles, general cleaning of rails and counters, removal of melting ice in bins.
  • Performing related duties and special projects as assigned.
