Job summary

Hyatt Centric Jumeirah Dubai is seeking a passionate Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. You will prepare and serve beverages, uphold Hyatt standards, and contribute to a welcoming guest environment in a luxury hotel in Dubai.

The ideal candidate has experience in bartending within hotel or hospitality settings, strong knowledge of cocktails, and excellent customer service skills. English proficiency is essential, and multilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Bartender in a hotel, restaurant, bar, or hospitality environment.
• Bartending certification is a plus
• Good knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wines, and beverages.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude with a team-oriented approach.
• Good command of spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service by providing friendly, professional, and engaging experiences while maintaining Hyatt brand standards.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, quality standards, and operational procedures.
• Build strong relationships with guests, anticipate their needs, and confidently recommend beverages, menu items, and upselling opportunities.
• Ensure the bar and service areas are clean, organized, well-stocked, and compliant with hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
• Process guest orders and payments accurately using the Micros POS system while adhering to cashiering and cash handling procedures.
• Coordinate effectively with the Kitchen, Beverage, Housekeeping, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
• Assist with inventory management, including stock control, stock rotation, replenishment, and monthly inventory checks of equipment and supplies.
• Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring timely resolution.
• Support special events and functions by conducting operational checks and ensuring all service requirements are met.
• Comply with responsible beverage service practices and all applicable local regulations.
• Participate actively in training sessions, team meetings, and continuous learning initiatives to enhance product knowledge and service standards.
• Maintain professional grooming, appearance, and conduct while representing Hyatt positively at all times.
• Foster teamwork and collaborative working relationships in line with Hyatt's "We work through Teams" philosophy.
• Demonstrate flexibility by performing additional duties and responsibilities, including supporting other departments or areas as required, to meet operational demands and guest service needs.
