Job summary

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or an equivalent.
• Knowledge of international spirits, wines, beers, liqueurs, and mixology techniques.
• Expertise in advanced cocktail preparation and seasonal menu development.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and upselling ability.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and multitasking in a fast-paced luxury environment.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations, and responsible alcohol service; availability for shift work, weekends, and holidays.

Job Summary

The Bartender at The Meydan Hotel prepares and serves high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering exceptional, professional guest service. This role focuses on crafting classic and signature cocktails, driving revenue through upselling, maintaining bar cleanliness and inventory control, and creating a welcoming, engaging atmosphere in alignment with 5-star luxury hotel standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft classic and innovative signature cocktails, prepare fresh garnishes and syrups, ensure strict recipe consistency, and deliver prompt, high-standard beverage service.
• Welcome guests warmly, provide personalized recommendations, tell beverage stories, and actively apply suggestive selling techniques to promote premium products.
• Handle daily opening and closing procedures, maintain correct stock levels, assist with monthly inventory counts, minimize waste, and control beverage costs.
• Ensure the bar counter, equipment, refrigeration, and glassware are sanitized, organized, and compliant with HACCP and local health and safety regulations.
• Partner with culinary and service teams for food and beverage pairings, participate in menu engineering, and serve as an active team player during high-volume shifts and private events.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or an equivalent
• In-depth knowledge of international spirits, wines, beers, liqueurs, and mixology techniques.
• Proven expertise in advanced cocktail preparation, presentation, and seasonal menu development.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a natural ability to engage guests, handle feedback, and drive upselling.
