Job summary

Al Zorah Beach Resort in Ajman, United Arab Emirates, is seeking a Bartender who embodies genuine hospitality, delivers courteous and efficient service, and brings creativity, flair, and precision to every pour.

In a luxury resort environment, you will prepare and serve cocktails, wines, and beverages from the menu, maintain bar standards, manage inventories, support restaurant teammates, and help develop new drink concepts for the upcoming opening.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience as a bartender in a luxury resort/hotel or upscale hospitality setting.
• College education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Knowledge of bar equipment and safety regulations.
• POS system operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests and provide exceptional service following SOPs.
• Maintain high standard of personal appearance and grooming.
• Collaborate with other restaurant team members.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, and beverages per recipes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with guests and provide exceptional service while following the assigned standards operating procedures.
• Ensure to possess a high standard of personal appearance and grooming at all times.
• Collaborate well with other team members working other functions of the restaurant
• Prepare and serve a selection of cocktails, wines, spirits and other beverages from the menu while ensuring to follow the established recipes.
• Excellent knowledge of the wine, cocktail and beverage menu
• Having excellent knowledge about the food menu on offer while developing a complete working knowledge of the menus, ingredients and information for the restaurant and resort.
• Ensure to keep the bar organized, clean and monitoring established par levels while adjusting them as required for all beverages, glassware and other equipment.
• Maintain inventory, restock supplies and ingredients.
• Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service
• Assist in development of new cocktail and beverage menus.
• To establish a rapport with guests, providing guest recognition and good customer relationships.
• To maintain the upkeep of all the beverage menus and checking the menus prior and during the closing of the bar.
• Assist the team of servers during the service, whenever there is a need to provide support at any time.
• Maintaining welcoming and service efficient environment
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the Supervisor, Assistant Manager, Outlet Manager, Director of Food and Beverage

Qualifications & Experience:

• 1-2 years’ previous experience as a bartender in a luxury resort/ hotel/ upscale restaurant or similar hospitality environment
• College education or equivalent experience.
• Previous employment experience in a similar position will be advantageous
• Requires the ability to operate restaurant operating systems (POS)
• Knowledge of bar equipment and safety regulations.
• Requires to be able to read, write and speak in English fluently, bilingual is an advantage
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
