Job summary

ENNISMORE in Abu Dhabi is seeking a friendly barista to prepare espresso drinks, drip coffee and specialty beverages, greet customers, take orders, and operate the POS. You will keep the work area clean, assist with inventory, and help upsell menu items.

The role requires knowledge of coffee, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, fluency in English (Arabic a plus), and prior barista experience. A high school diploma is required and food handling certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; barista experience preferred.
• Experience operating espresso machines and cafe equipment.
• Fluency in English; Arabic knowledge is a plus.

Job description

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks including espresso-based beverages drip coffee and specialty drinks Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately Operate and maintain espresso machines coffee grinders and other cafe equipment Handle cash transactions and operate the Point of Sale POS system Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to food safety and hygiene standards Recommend and upsell coffee products and cafe menu items Assist in inventory management and restocking supplies Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth cafe operations and excellent customer service Stay updated on coffee trends and share product knowledge with customers

High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience as a barista preferred Strong knowledge of coffee types, brewing methods, and cafe operations Proficiency in operating espresso machines and other cafe equipment Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Basic math skills and cash handling experience Food handling certification preferred Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus
