Job summary

Hyatt Centric Jumeirah Dubai is seeking an energetic Assistant Manager – Bar to lead the bar team and deliver memorable guest experiences. You will support daily bar operations, coach staff, ensure quality cocktails, manage costs and uphold hygiene and licensing standards while driving revenue through upselling and creativity in beverage offerings.

This role requires flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays, with opportunities to shape beverage concepts and guest

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or assistant management experience in a busy bar, restaurant or hotel environment.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer and contemporary beverage trends.
• Excellent communication, leadership and guest-service skills.
• A creative, confident and hands-on approach.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• A positive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality.
• Relevant hospitality qualifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the Bar Manager in managing the day-to-day bar operation.
• Lead, coach and motivate the bar team to deliver outstanding service.
• Ensure consistent quality in cocktails, beverages, presentation and service standards.
• Create a welcoming and lively atmosphere for guests.
• Assist with staff scheduling, training and performance development.
• Monitor stock levels, wastage, ordering and beverage costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and licensing requirements.
• Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve concerns promptly.
• Support menu development, promotions and creative beverage concepts.
• Drive revenue through upselling, product knowledge and memorable guest experiences.
• Maintain strong communication with Food & Beverage and other hotel departments.
