Job summary

Sunset Hospitality Group in Dubai is seeking energetic Barbacks to support our busy lifestyle venues across hotels, beach clubs and nightlife destinations. You will work alongside bartenders to keep service flowing and guest experiences seamless.

The role involves replenishing spirits, garnishes and glassware, maintaining bar mise en place, handling stock, and adhering to hygiene and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Barback or similar hospitality role.
• Experience in busy venues such as restaurants, beach clubs, lounges or nightlife.
• Basic knowledge of bar operations and equipment.
• Good English communication.

Responsibilities

• Replenish spirits, beverages, ice, garnishes, glassware and bar supplies.
• Complete bar mise en place before service.
• Prepare basic garnishes and beverage ingredients.
• Maintain glassware, counters, equipment and storage cleanliness.
• Monitor stock levels and inform the bar team when replenishment is required.
• Assist bartenders and head bartenders during busy periods.
• Follow hygiene, safety, and responsible-service requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Replenish spirits, beverages, ice, garnishes, glassware and bar supplies.
• Complete bar mise en place before service.
• Prepare basic garnishes, juices and other beverage ingredients.
• Collect, wash, polish and organise glassware.
• Maintain clean bar counters, equipment, storage and service areas.
• Monitor stock levels and inform the bar team when replenishment is required.
• Assist with receiving, storing and rotating beverage stock.
• Remove empty bottles, waste and used equipment promptly.
• Support Bartenders and Head Bartenders during busy service periods.
• Handle bar equipment and products safely.
• Follow hygiene, safety and responsible-service requirements.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Barback, Bar Assistant or in a similar hospitality position is preferred.
• Experience within a busy restaurant, beach club, lounge, nightclub or lifestyle venue is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of bar operations, products and equipment.
• Energetic, reliable and able to remain active throughout the shift.
• Strong teamwork, organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
• Good English communication skills.
